Usage and licenses

Use only documents you own or have permission or another lawful basis to process. Local conversion does not transfer ownership of source documents or third-party content to the app developer.

OCR, formulas, reading order and table extraction can contain errors. Review exported files against the originals before relying on them. Keep your original documents and backups. The app does not guarantee exact reconstruction, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.

The Mac App Store edition is supplied under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:

Docling is an upstream project, not the publisher of this independent app. No affiliation or endorsement by Docling, IBM, Apple or the Linux Foundation is claimed. Third-party software and models keep their own licenses. The bundled Licenses folder contains notices; Python distribution metadata and license files are retained in the bundled engine. certifi and tqdm's MPL-2.0-covered source is included as readable Python source and CA data, with its license, in that engine.

Nothing in these terms overrides the rights granted by third-party open-source licenses or mandatory consumer protection law.
